Privacy Policy
Last updated October 9, 2026
- Cruitr is software that staffing agencies use to reach candidates, screen them and book calls with their recruiters.
- When an agency uses Cruitr, the candidate information belongs to that agency. We handle it for them, on their instructions.
- We don't sell personal information, and we never share one agency's candidates with another.
- Reply STOP to any text to stop getting them.
Who we are and what this covers
Cruitr LLC ("Cruitr", "we", "us") is a New York company that makes recruiting software for staffing agencies. This policy explains what information we handle and what we do with it, for three groups of people:
- Visitors to cruitr.ai, including anyone who asks us for a demo.
- Agency users: the owners, recruiters and staff of agencies that use Cruitr.
- Candidates: people an agency reaches, screens or schedules through Cruitr.
Candidates: the agency is in charge of your information
If you heard from a staffing agency through Cruitr, that agency decides who it contacts and why. We handle your information on the agency's behalf and follow its instructions, and the agency's own privacy policy applies as well. If you have a question about how an agency uses your information, ask the agency. You can also write to us at hello@cruitr.ai and we'll pass it on and help where we can.
What we collect
From visitors
- What you type into the demo form: your name, work email and agency.
- Basic technical information our servers record when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you open. We don't use advertising cookies.
From agency users
- Account details such as name, email, phone number and role.
- Settings, such as which jobs Cruitr works and the assistant name you choose.
- How you use Cruitr, so we can keep it working and support you.
About candidates, on an agency's behalf
- Contact details: name, phone number, email and general location.
- Résumés, work history, licenses and certifications.
- Answers given on a Candidate link, and job preferences such as shifts, pay and distance.
- Text and email conversations with the agency.
- Call times, and, where the agency records calls, the recording, a transcript and notes from it.
- Notes the agency's recruiters add.
How we use it
- To run Cruitr for the agency: matching candidates to jobs, sending the agency's messages, answering replies, screening, scheduling calls and writing up notes after a call.
- To respond to demo requests and questions.
- To keep Cruitr secure and fix problems.
- To make Cruitr better. We may learn from information that has been de-identified and combined, so it can't identify an agency, a candidate or a client. We never use one agency's candidates to recruit for another.
- To meet legal obligations.
AI and screening
Cruitr uses AI models to read jobs and résumés, write and answer messages, check a candidate's answers against what a job requires, and summarize calls. The agency's recruiters talk to candidates and decide who is put forward to an employer. If you'd like a person to review how your application was handled, ask the agency.
Text messages
Text messages sent through Cruitr come from the staffing agency named in them and are about jobs with that agency. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop getting texts, or HELP for help.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell, rent or share mobile phone numbers or text-message opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. The sharing described in this policy does not include text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; that information will not be shared with any third parties.
Who we share it with
- The agency the information belongs to.
- Service providers that help us run Cruitr, such as hosting, text and email delivery, calendars, call transcription and AI models. They may use the information only to provide their service to us.
- When the law requires it, or to protect people, our users or Cruitr.
- In a sale or merger of our business, where the buyer keeps the promises in this policy.
We do not sell personal information, and we never share one agency's candidates with another agency.
How long we keep it
We keep an agency's information for as long as the agency uses Cruitr, then delete or return it when the agency asks or its agreement ends, except where the law requires us to keep something longer. We keep demo requests for as long as we need them to follow up.
Security
We protect information with reasonable safeguards, including encryption in transit and access limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and if something goes wrong we will tell the people affected as the law requires.
Your choices
- Stop texts by replying STOP. It applies right away, to every job with that agency.
- See, correct or delete your information by asking the agency, or by writing to us and we'll work with the agency on it.
- Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under state law. We will honor them.
Children
Cruitr is for job seekers and the agencies that place them. It is not meant for children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For a significant change, we'll tell agency users directly.
